The Tea Ceremony II

With a Korean groom and Chinese bride, the tea ceremony is influenced by both cultures. In this part, after the Korean Pyebaek, the groom’s mother tosses dates and chestnuts toward the couple, who try to catch them in the sheet between them. Each caught represents one child the couple will have, with dates for daughters and chestnuts for sons. Here, the mother reacts with delight at landing a large number of bullseyes!
